The Denver Broncos smelled the scent of the first win of the season. Now there are more players to watch entering week two of the NFL season.
Trevor Siemian put a good foot forward in week one after the Denver Broncos’ 24-21 victory against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Dallas Cowboys come to town for a good western showdown. Siemian and the rest of the team will look to buck the Cowboys off their horse in route to a victory.
The defensive line appears to be different after the addition of Ahtyba Rubin, formaly of the Seattle Seahawks. If Rubin transitions well from Seattle, the Broncos establish a defensive front primed for a big year. Adam Gotsis had his best game as a Bronco last Monday, becoming a key player to watch this Sunday afternoon.
Also, the Broncos dual running backs of CJ Anderson and Jamaal Charles appear to be a fine tuned engine for week one. Anderson ran stronger as the Chargers’ game wore on. On the other hand, Charles bounced back despite the fumble. The mobility of Charles’ knees is a good sign for the Broncos backfield. Due to the defense struggles of the Cowboys, look for Anderson and Charles to run wild.
Another area to watch is the pass rush. Von Miller and Shaquil Barrett failed to create pressure on numerous occasions. However, they were close to sacking Phillip Rivers. Week two presents a tough test for the Orange Rush. Miller, Derek Wolfe, Barrett…
