Projecting the Bills’ inactives against Carolina – Buffalo Bills News

CHARLOTTE – The Buffalo Bills enter Week Two of the NFL season in good health.

The team has declared just one player – defensive tackle Jerel Worthy – out for Sunday’s game against the Panthers. Worthy suffered a concussion in the final preseason game and has not been able to return to practice since then.

Here is a projection on the other six players the Bills might declare inactive against Carolina:

• OT Conor McDermott: Barring an injury to the top three tackles, McDermott might find himself on this list quite a bit.

• TE Khari Lee: Ditto McDermott. The top three are set with Charles Clay, Nick O’Leary and Logan Thomas.

• LB Tanner Vallejo: He’s nearing a return from a knee injury, but the Bills can afford to take their time with the rookie.

• WR Kaelin Clay: He’d surely like to play against his former team, but the Bills used four receivers last week and Clay was the odd man out.

• G Vlad Ducasse: It’s somewhat of a surprise that Ducasse remains on the roster since he would factor into the compensatory draft pick formula if he was released.

• LB Jelani Jenkins: He’s been with his new team for less than a week, so it might just be that he hasn’t had enough time to learn the scheme.
