NFL picks: Predictions for Packers vs. Falcons | Sunday Night Football (9/17/17) – Green Bay Packers News

Week 2 of the 2017 NFL season will feature a marquee Sunday Night Football game on Sunday, September 17, 2017 (9/17/17) when the Green Bay Packers take on the Atlanta Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.

The rematch of last season’s NFC Championship Game will be the first contest in the Falcons new, state-of-the-art stadium.

The Packers (1-0) are led by quarterback Aaron Rodgers and head coach Mike McCarthy. The Falcons (1-0) are led by reigning NFL MVP quarterback Matt Ryan and wide receiver Julio Jones.

Kickoff is slated for 8:30 p.m. EST on NBC.

Here’s how our experts see the game playing out.

Darryl Slater: This should be a gem of a game. Aaron Rodgers vs. Matt Ryan. Both teams won in Week 1. Expect a close, thrilling matchup here. What a treat to watch Rodgers and Ryan do battle. Falcons 30, Packers 27.

Connor Hughes: This could be an NFC Championship preview. Quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Matt Ryan are still elite. If you like offense, this could be the game for you. It seems guaranteed both teams will put up points. A bad bounce one way or another will make the difference. Falcons 34, Packers 31.

Joe Giglio: I’m not sure what’s the better show: Seeing the camera shots and amenities in the NFL’s newest futuristic stadium or watching two of the best quarterbacks on the planet go head-to-head in a potential shootout. I think the Packers walk in and spoil the night–possibly setting up a January rematch to be in their home, Lambeau Field. Packers 31, Falcons 30.
