Joe Thomas is destined to be a first ballot hall of famer whenever he becomes eligible following his playing career. His impact with the Cleveland Browns is much appreciated and has been a unique and interesting individual from day one.
Before he even became a Brown, contrary to the popular decision of attending the draft, the former Wisconsin Badger instead went on a fishing trip. As the years progressed, Thomas continued to believe that Cleveland will turn it around.
It has taken time but the Browns are now on the right track. We all know the long list of quarterbacks he’s blocked.
Well, there is more to that and thanks to being healthy and consistent for so long, Thomas will achieve history. In fact, on Sunday, Thomas will have played his 10,000th consecutive snap on the fourth play.
With so many continuous snaps, how many running backs/fullbacks has Thomas blocked for? NFL Network’s Andrew Siciliano provided the answer: 29 of them!
Some names understandably are forgotten because they did not do much in the NFL. However, others cannot be forgotten for better or worst. Regardless, the most notable names on the positive side are Jamal Lewis and Isaiah Crowell.
