Houston Texans sign WR Cobi Hamilton and LT Jah Reid – Houston Texans News

The Houston Texans have added some depth to their roster.

The Houston Texans made a few roster moves over the past couple days after getting their first win of the season.

First the Texans signed free agent wide receiver Cobi Hamilton on Friday, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media.

Adding Hamilton makes a lot of sense given the fact that the Texans were forced to play running back Tyler Ervin as a slot receiver against the Cincinnati Bengals this past Thursday night with Will Fuller and Bruce Ellington out with injuries.

The 26 year-old Hamilton was a sixth round pick of Bengals in 2013 out of the University of Arkansas. He’s played for the Philadelphia Eagles, Miami Dolphins, Carolina Panthers and most recently the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Hamilton has recorded 17 receptions for 234 yards and two touchdowns during his NFL career so far.

Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reported on Saturday that the Texans signed free agent offensive tackle Jah Reid.

Reid is a veteran that has been around since 2011 after being selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the third round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He played for the Kansas City Chiefs over the course of the past two years.
