The buzz: The Giants got off to a rough start last week with just 233 yards of offense and one third-quarter field goal, though they were without one of the NFL’s most dynamic players in Odell Beckham. Beckham’s status is uncertain this week as he continues to recover from a high ankle sprain, but the Lions expect him to play. If Beckham is healthy, he transforms a passing game that also features Brandon Marshall and Sterling Shepard. If he’s not, the Giants have one of the worst offenses in the league.
