Sunday’s game pits Eagles head coach Doug Pederson against his mentor, and former quarterbacks coach and head coach Andy Reid just two years removed from Pederson serving as Reid’s offensive coordinator with the Chiefs prior to taking the Eagles’ head coaching job.
Pederson says that he hopes to leverage his experience both coaching with Reid and working the sidelines of Arrowhead Stadium into preparing his team this week ahead of Sunday’s game.
“It will be fun,” Pederson said of the opportunity to coach against Reid. “It will be fun to see him over there, Big Red on the other side. But at the same time, I know he wants to kick my tail and I want to kick his.
