The Bills hit the road for the first time in the 2017 season when they travel to Carolina to take on the Panthers.
There are several storylines in play here as new Bills coach Sean McDermott and general manager Brandon Beane are going back to a place they’re very familiar with. McDermott spent the previous six years as the Panthers defensive coordinator, while Beane had spent the first 19 years of his NFL front office career with Carolina.
As for the players, there are four ex-Panthers – running back Mike Tolbert, quarterback Joe Webb, defensive back Leonard Johnson, and wide receiver Kaelin Clay – on the Bills roster who are going back to Carolina with something to prove.
