Top 25 Jacksonville Jaguars plays of 2016: Allen Robinson drags feet for touchdown vs. Chiefs – Jacksonville Jaguars News

With the Kansas City Chiefs missing most of their starters, including quarterback Alex Smith, the Jacksonville Jaguars were hoping they could go into Arrowhead Stadium and steal a win away from last year’s AFC West champion.

Instead, Bortles completed barely over 50% of his passes, turned the ball over once, and overthrew wide open receivers several times throughout the game.

One of his few good throws throughout the day was just at the end of the second half and it was an even better catch by Allen Robinson.

After a Chiefs three-and-out, the Jaguars were poised to go down the field and tie the game. However, Bortles had other plans, as he threw an ugly interception to Ramik Wilson, giving the Chiefs good field position. But the Jaguars defense held up at the other end, forcing the Chiefs into another three-and-out. However, Santos would hit a 26-yard field goal to give the Chiefs a 10-0 lead.

After two six-play drives by both teams that ended in punts, the Jaguars were finally able to drive down the field, squeaking a touchdown by with two seconds left in the first half. Robinson capped off an 11-play, 88-yard drive with a one-yard touchdown catch from Bortles.

The Jaguars ended up losing 19-14, however, and fell to 2-6.
