Report: James Conner headed to Pittsburgh for closer look at injured shoulder – Pittsburgh Steelers News

Depending on traffic, Latrobe is about 30 minutes outside of Pittsburgh, PA, and that is the exact route James Conner is having to take, as he reportedly has left Steelers Training Camp at Saint Vincent College to have his injured shoulder further looked at in Pittsburgh.

Conner, who injured his shoulder during Monday’s first padded practice, was seen in a sling after practice concluded. This likely means the training staff of the Steelers simply wants to get a closer look, via MRI, of what is going on inside the shoulder.

This does not mean Conner will be out long-term, or that his shoulder injury is anything serious, but what it does mean is it isn’t your usual run-of-the-mill camp shoulder injury which just requires a couple days rest.

They want another look at the joint problem for a reason.

The Steelers won’t likely release much information on the injury, as they don’t have to by rules of the NFL at this point in the season, but stay tuned to BTSC for the latest information and reports on Conner’s injury, as well as other players’ bumps and bruises.
