The investigation involving an alleged rape by Raiders rookie Gareon Conley has been forwarded to a grand jury to determine if charges will be filed, Cleveland.com reported.
Conley, the 24th overall pick in this year’s draft, is accused of raping a woman April 9 in a Cleveland hotel. The former Ohio State defensive back has denied all allegations and told Cleveland police he had consensual sex with his accuser.
The grand jury in Cuyahoga County met Monday to review findings of the police investigation before casting a vote on whether to hand up charges.
Conley signed his rookie contract Friday but has yet to practice in camp with the Raiders. He is on the physically unable to perform list with an undisclosed injury suffered in minicamp.
Officially in the Silver and Black.
