The Green Bay Packers put on the pads for the first time this summer on Saturday, and practice resulted in a great deal of good hitting and contact. On this Monday morning, they will have their pads on once again after a day off Sunday, and we should have still more fun to follow as the real contact continues.
Left tackle David Bakhtiari and defensive tackle Mike Daniels continue their friendly banter as camp rolls along, with Bakhtiari bringing a wrestling championship belt to Saturday’s practice. Meanwhile, Josh Jones lit up fellow rookie Malachi Dupre with a huge hit over the middle, and was apologetic to his teammate afterwards. Although the defense might be excited to see that kind of play from the rookie safety, he knows he has to do a better job of protecting his teammates in practice.
As always, join APC as we follow along with today’s practice, which begins at 8:15 Central. This is the penultimate early-morning practice; after tomorrow’s 8:15 session, the team moves to evening practices later in the week.
