Bucs Sign Marqueston Huff, Jhajuan Seales – Tampa Bay Buccaneers News

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have made the first changes to their 90-man roster since beginning training camp practices on Friday morning. On Sunday afternoon, the team signed fourth-year safety Marqueston Huff and rookie wide receiver Jhajuan Seales; to make room, two rookies at the corresponding positions were waived: wide receiver Thomas Sperbeck and safety Alex Gray.

Huff (5-11, 196) was originally drafted in the fourth round by Tennessee and spent his first two seasons with the Titans before playing for the Baltimore Ravens last fall. He also spent time in Jacksonville in 2016. Huff signed with the Kansas City Chiefs this past March but was waived in early July with a non-football injury designation.

Huff has played in a total of 41 games with one start, recording 23 tackles, one sack, one interception and four passes defensed. Last year he played extensively on special teams for the Ravens. He played his college ball at Wyoming, where he was a three-year starter, logging 249 tackles, six interceptions, 16 passes defensed, three forced fumbles and six fumble recoveries in 49 games.

Seales (6-1, 206) signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma State this spring but was waived a month later. He played four seasons for the Cowboys, racking up 112 receptions for 1,785 yards and 12 touchdowns in 43 games. At OSU’s Pro Day, Seales ran a 4.51-second 40-yard dash and recorded a vertical leap of 41.5 inches.
