The 2017 Fantasy Football season is right around the corner. What can owners expect from New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady?
To start the 2016 season, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was suspended for the first four games of the season. Like most players that aren’t healthy to start the season, deciding when to pull the trigger on draft Brady was certainly something that fantasy football owners had to mull over.
For those who did decide to draft Brady, they certainly reaped the benefits when he returned from his suspension. In 2016, Brady totaled 3,554 passing yards, 28 passing touchdowns, and just two interceptions. Brady was one of the most efficient quarterbacks of all-time last season, and he certainly helped his owners with a great season.
While the overall numbers were good for Brady, he was also pretty consistent week-to-week. In 12 games, Brady totaled two games in which he didn’t throw a touchdown pass. Also, he only threw one touchdown pass once in a game last season.
With nine games of throwing two or more touchdown passes, Brady certainly provided some consistent points from the quarterback position. In addition to the consistency, Brady also had some monster fantasy games against the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens. In those two games, Brady totaled over 400 passing yards.
Even though Brady will be entering the 2017 season at 40-years-old, he is still one of the top fantasy quarterbacks for 2017.
