Dallas Cowboys: Could DBs improve despite losing bulk of starters? Where does Jason Witten rank among NFL TEs? – Dallas Cowboys News

Matt Mosley, contributor to SportsDayDFW.com and columnist for Texas Monthly, answered questions during a live chat recently. Here are some highlights:

Question: Do you think this defense will improve speed wise? I see a young secondary that’s a little faster and has better hands.

Question: Is Jason Witten still a top 5 TE in the NFL?

Matt Mosley: Probably not of the currents TEs, but he’s still a really effective weapon. Witten’s never been a huge TD guy, but he and Beasley will continue to be Dak’s favorite third-down targets. Witten uses his intellect more than his athleticism at this…
