The Pittsburgh Steelers have only had two training camp practices but they already have two of their top rookies injured. First, it was wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster on Friday and now on Saturday cornerback Cam Sutton.
The last thing Pittsburgh needs is to see guys like Sutton and Smith-Schuster miss reps. The Steelers drafted with the intention of having another impact draft class, and when it comes to getting up to speed on the schemes, rookies need it the most.
Let’s just hope that neither of the injuries is serious and we see Sutton and Smith-Schuster back on the field soon. There are plenty of players who are going to use their absences as opportunities to impress the coaches. Cornerback and wide receiver are the most contested units on the team.
We will be sure to keep you updated on the latest on these injuries and if they do miss significant time break down how that will impact the roster.
