DAVIE–The Dolphins are in shoulder pads for the first time today, and injured center Mike Pouncey is making his training camp debut.

Pouncey was on the field for the first time since going on Injured Reserve last season because of a hip issue. He spent the first two days of camp watching and doing rehab work, but was fully dressed today and took part in individual drills at the beginning of practice.

When the Dolphins shifted into team-wide drills, Pouncey headed into the facility.

Here are some other notes from this morning’s practice:

— Rookie cornerback Cordrea Tankersley was back after exiting early Friday because of overheating and dehydration.

— DeVante Parker continued his strong offseason in this morning’s practice and got started with a nice catch inside against Byron Maxwell.

— Miami’s first offensive series ended with Ryan Tannehill throwing an interception. Xavien Howard broke up the pass, and Lawrence Timmons caught the deflection for the pick.

— The defense won practice for the second straight day. New cornerback Alterraun Verner picked off Matt Moore in the red zone, and Kiko Alonso got one off Tannehill.

— The Dolphins worked undrafted rookie Drew Morgan at punt alongside Jakeem Grant.

— Pro Bowl safety Reshad Jones remains out with an unspecified non-football injury. He did agility drills off to the side during individual work.

— Seventh-round pick Isaiah Ford, a receiver, was out today with what appeared to be a leg injury. Miami coach Adam Gase will address the media after practice.
