Marcell Dareus wasn’t on the field for the start of Saturday’s training camp practice after suffering a hamstring injury on Friday.
Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott spoke to the media about Dareus’ injury before the start of Saturday’s practice at St. John Fisher College.
“Any time players miss time, you get concerned, whether it’s Marcell or anyone else,” McDermott said. “I’m going to stay positive with it. He’s done a great job of being in shape at this point in camp. Really handled things well. So we’ll see how this unfolds.”
This isn’t the first time that Dareus has dealt with a hamstring injury. Dareus appeared on the team’s injury report last season with a hamstring injury from Week 5 through Week 8. He missed three games over that span of time.
Although Dareus was not on the field for Saturday’s practice, he was seen doing work on the sidelines.

Dareus’ hamstring injury will be something to monitor throughout training camp.
