Roger Goodell still upset with New England – New England Patriots News

Recent Patriots rumors have been about NFL Commissioner, Roger Goodell, being upset with the team over a t-shirt worn by Matt Patricia.

While there haven’t been many Patriots rumors about roster moves in the summer months, there have been some rumors about their relationship with the Commissioner.

The long feud between Roger Goodell and the New England Patriots has been well-documented. To start the 2016 season, the Patriots were without quarterback Tom Brady because he was suspended for four games by Goodell for DeflateGate. These actions by Goodell resulted in him because in him becoming public enemy No.1 in New England.

Despite Brady being suspended, the Patriots were able to have the best record in the AFC and eventually won the Super Bowl. On the way back from the game, Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia was seen wearing a ‘Goodell is a clown’ t-shirt from Barstool Sports. According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, Goodell is still not happy about that.

Per a league source, the Commissioner continues to be miffed about Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia’s decision to wear the Barstool Sports Goodell-with-a-clown-nose T-shirt while disembarking from the plane that brought the team back from Super Bowl LI.
