2016 Stats: 36 rec., 365 yds., 2 TD, 10.1 yards per reception, 52.2 catch rate
Career Stats: 59 rec., 648 yds., 3 TD, 11.0 yards per reception, 52.2 catch rate
Agholor was horrendous in his second NFL season, not having over 57 receiving yards in any game last year. His best game was in Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns, catching four passes for 57 yards and a touchdown.
Agholor had just 11 passes for 108 yards and a touchdown in the second half of the year (47 of which came in a Week 16 win over the New York Giants).
Agholor was held without a reception in three games during the second half, one of those games he was benched for a mental break. Let’s not forget the Seattle debacle where his illegal formation penalty cost the Eagles a touchdown followed by a wide-open drop on the team’s next possession that cost Philadelphia a touchdown.
Mental issues plagued Agholor through last season as his productivity diminished, causing doubt if the 2015 first-round pick will ever figure things out in the NFL.
How Agholor preformed in 2017 minicamp
In a helmet and shorts, those confidence issues Agholor had seemed to go away.
Agholor was one of the breakout players in minicamp, becoming a reliable target in the slot for Carson Wentz.
