Linebacker Kevin Dodd was the second round pick of the Tennessee Titans in the 2016 NFL Draft.
I’m not a fan of calling a player a bust after only one season, but I think we can go ahead with that label for Tennessee Titans linebacker Kevin Dodd.
Dodd was already a bit of a risky pick by the Titans after only starting for one year at Clemson.
The former Tiger had a tremendous senior season at Clemson, the only year he started in college, compiling 60 tackles and 12 sacks. But he didn’t find anywhere near that kind of success during his rookie season.
At one point last year, Titans head coach Mike Mularkey benched Dodd for not playing at a high level.
Dodd landed on the injured reserved list not long after he was benched, when he reinjured the foot he had surgery on in May 2016.
Unfortunately for Dodd, this off-season isn’t going well for him either. The South Carolina native had a second surgery on his right foot in January.
When the injury bug is this severe early in a career, it’s unlikely it will get any better.
