It looks like Speedy Noil could play in front of the NFL version of the 12th Man.
The former Texas A&M receiver signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent, the team announced Monday.
Here is Noil’s reaction to the signing.
The receiver didn’t hear his name called in the 2017 NFL Draft. Noil sharply declined production-wise after leading the Aggies in all-purpose yards as a freshman. He posted some of the best numbers out of anyone in the NFL Combine, which could explain why teams gained interest in the receiver.
NFL Aggies are highly concentrated in Tampa Bay and Seattle, and Noil adds to that list. Michael Bennett, Germain Ifedi, Luke Joeckel and Steven Terrell will also play for the Seahawks. Justin Evans, Mike Evans, Jarvis Harrison and Derel Walker are on the Buccaneers.
There should be plenty of opportunities for Noil to make a name for himself. Young players like Paul Richardson and Tyler Lockett continually garner important playing time. There are a few aspects Noil must clean up, but his chances of making the final roster aren’t particularly slim.
